JOB SUMMARY:
The ideal position for a qualified Fitter & Turner (Red Seal) with matric or N3. Applicants must have at least 5 years' experience in mechanical training or similar field.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Experience & Education

Minimum Qualification: Matric / N3
Qualified Fitter and Turner (Red seal certificate)
5 years’ work experience as Mechanical trainer or similar role.
Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assessor and moderator registered with merSETA will be an advantage.
A good standard of written and verbal communication focused on delivering objectives, developmental targets and apprentice feedback/ reviews.
Problem solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to be creative in thought processes and delivery.
Must be observant and have excellent analytical skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
Must be able to use alternative teaching methods to cater to various individuals.
Good planner of daily, monthly and yearly training.
Will be expected to teach theoretical knowledge and practical competency elements.
Develop ways of working that are responsive to learners' needs, monitor and evaluate progress and practice and prepare learners for examinations.
To act as the Mechanical lead in all apprentice support and progress for the complete apprentice journey up to and including the Trade Test.
Provide accurate and timely data and information, including registers, assessments, examination details and progress reports.
Setup test, exams and memorandums as need arise.
Build, improve and maintain equipment.
Write and develop learning material in line with needs of divisions and accredited training interventions.
