Mechatronic Engineer

SUMMARY:

The ideal candidate will bring both technical expertise and creative vision to pioneering solutions for next-generation building automation.

POSITION INFO:

Lead the engineering of intelligent control systems for smart infrastructure, covering HVAC, lighting, access control, and energy optimization
Spearhead the automation design of construction equipment, particularly robotic plastering solutions
Generate comprehensive engineering documentation, including wiring diagrams, system layouts, and technical blueprints
Specify and integrate mechatronic components—sensors, actuators, controllers—for seamless system performance
Create and refine embedded control logic and software for automation applications
Simulate system behaviour to fine-tune performance and validate functionality before deployment
Assemble, configure, and validate automation systems in a test lab environment to ensure readiness for real-world conditions
Conduct diagnostic evaluations, resolve technical faults, and iterate designs based on test outcomes
Establish guidelines and specifications for on-site installation, ensuring a smooth handover to commissioning teams
Enforce rigorous quality control protocols throughout the implementation process
Partner with multidisciplinary teams to ensure automation systems are efficiently embedded into broader architectural and engineering designs
Coordinate with third-party vendors, contractors, and consultants to deliver integrated project solutions
Stay at the forefront of emerging trends in smart building and construction automation, feeding insights into R&D initiatives

Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience
Strong understanding of control systems, embedded platforms, sensors, and actuators
Proven experience in designing and developing mechatronic systems, preferably within the building automation sector
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java for automation and control applications
Hands-on experience with CAD and simulation tools, including software like AutoCAD and Revit

Qualification:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
