POSITION INFO:
Millwright \/ Maintenance Technician Location: Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu Natal Remuneration: Budget of R30,000.00 per month (Cost to Company) Minimum Requirements: Qualified Millwright or Maintenance Technician with a recognised trade qualification. Minimum of 3-5 years' maintenance experience within a manufacturing or food processing environment. Experience with preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance. Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills on mechanical and electrical equipment. PLC fault-finding experience will be advantageous. Sound knowledge of health and safety requirements within a manufacturing environment. Valid driver's licence. Key Responsibilities: Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment. Attend to machine breakdowns promptly to minimise production downtime. Conduct fault-finding on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Install, maintain and repair production machinery and equipment. Ensure maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with safety and food safety requirements. Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete job cards. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency. Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to ensure optimal plant performance. Participate in planned shutdowns and equipment installations when required. Candidates with experience in the FMCG, Engineering and Technical sectors, specifically in Trade - Millwright, Retail, Wholesale, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Dispatching & Receiving, Food & Beverage functions, will be highly advantageous.
