National Inventory / Financial Analyst

SUMMARY:
A well-known established Chemical Distribution and Manufacturing Company requires the above to provide support to the Commercial and Operational Teams ensuring that all enquiries relating to Third-Party Warehousing is timeously responded to and adequately resolved.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• A tertiary qualification in either Finance or related qualification is preferred.
• Previous experience having worked in an Inventory Analyst or related role is essential working within a company that distributes stock is essential.
• Previous experience having worked within an environment where the person has been involved with working with expired stock is preferred.
• Previous experience having worked on a Warehouse Management System where everything is scanned, and codes are tracked is pref.
• The successful candidate must be able to think independently.
• Must have good mathematical skills and advanced Excel is essential.
• Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
• A SAP certificate and knowledge of SAP Business is preferred.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Effectively and efficiently manage the accuracy of stock being delivered in the regional warehouses.
• Manage weekly consolidations of the various regions and Head Office stock reports and analyse them.
• Manage and oversee all monthly stock aging and expiry analysis reports in all regions.
• Prepare and oversee weekly stock expiry and stock that will expire analysis reports in all regions.
• Ensure efficient stock levels and recommendations.
• Report weekly cycle count variances to Management.
• Present consolidation of monthly stock management pack reports and recommendations to the Group.
• Oversee the distribution process of stock to retail and manufacturing companies.
• Report on performance and variance analysis of manufacturing in terms of volume and value.
• Present weekly distribution forecast reports based on demand from Companies.
• Identify gaps in the supply chain processes and design, propose and implement solutions and controls to strengthen controls environments and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Prepare stock GL, stock and production suspense accounts as well as goods received.
• Compile GL reconciliation to balance sheet and stock ledgers and GRN provisions.
• Manage and oversee analysis on expired and about to expire stock impairment.
