Managing Director – Civil Engineering – East Rand

A national distributor providing civil engineers, municipalities and allied concerns with world class pipe line inspection and repair technology such as leak detection equipment, utility location equipment, CCTV pipeline inspection systems, drain cleaning machines, pipe plugs, pipe nozzles, and pipe relining systems requires to appoint a Managing Director based on the East Rand

Job Description:

• Achieve company growth projections and targets in a dynamic and competitive environment.
• Manage operations and adapt processes within time and budgets.
• Be a strong team leader with a pragmatic approach in getting the best out of your talent.
• Build and nurture trust with teams, customers and external suppliers
• Ensure all the operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
• Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices
• Purchase materials, plan inventory and oversee warehouse efficiency
• Ensure the organization’s processes remain legally compliant
• Formulate strategic and operational objectives
• Examine financial data and use it to improve profitability
• Manage budgets and forecasts | Perform quality controls and monitor business KPIs
• Recruit, train and supervise staff | Find ways to increase the quality of customer service

Minimum requirements:

• Proven work experience in a similar role within the civil engineering supply business
• Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
• Experience budgeting and forecasting | Familiarity with business and financial principles
• Excellent communication skills | Leadership ability | Outstanding organizational skills

Qualifications :

• Three or more years of proven success in a similar management role
• Proficiency in conflict management and business negotiation processes
• Knowledge of business productivity software and an aptitude for learning new applications
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business management, business administration, or related field
• Working knowledge of management software programs,
• Multiple years of financial and account reporting experience
