SUMMARY:
We are looking for a dedicated professional to manage and support our client portfolio by country or business segment by actively developing the relationships with the potential or existing clients in the portfolio and independently follow up on any inquiries from clients within this portfolio.

POSITION INFO:

Duties

  • New Lead/Sales generation – track opportunities
  • Ensure that sales monthly targets are met
  • Ensure new products are informed to clients
  • Responsible for achievement of profitable turnover in the assigned territory or business segment
  • Identifies sales revenue trends by client and portfolio.
  • Identifies and communicates upsell opportunities by portfolio.
  • Initiating and conducting marketing activities (trade fairs, congresses, advertisements)
  • Identifying market opportunities.
  • Based on analysis, contribute to the thinking around sales strategy such as tactical campaigns, pricing, and product and service delivery.
  • Provide decision support to the Head: Marketing and assist in analysing financial results and objectives.
  • Analyse monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual financial performance and prepare reports for each client portfolio team and Head: Marketing showing actual versus target (budget) performance
  • Ensure the sales team maintains a cost discipline in line with expectations
  • Provide input into the development, implementation and monitoring of financial reporting and related systems.
  • Direct the collection of financial and accounting information and the preparation of sales budgets, reports, forecasts, and consolidated profit and loss reports.
  • Contribute to developing business cases that involve justifying any investment in additional sales team
  • Responsible for supporting our marketing department with a solid marketing plan for the area and/or product group.
  • Establish and maintain a total market overview and consequently being able to provide strategic advice to the Head: Marketing
  • Establish, maintain, and expand relationships with customers and other relevant contacts in the assigned region / product group.

  • Continues client engagement
  • Monitor annual sales strategy and quarterly targets and prepares reports, annual budgets, and submits regular sales forecasts.
  • Create and maintain regular dashboard reporting for sales team to understand and drive sales performance.
  • Provide accurate and timely team and individual KPI analysis on client satisfaction, teamwork
  • Obtain enquiries, provide the client with quotations supported by the organization (estimating department) and follow up.
  • Responsible for finalizing sales agreements; including negotiations with customers about prices, service specifications, delivery and payment terms, the drawing up and conclusion of contracts and conditions, and sharing this knowledge with the internal organization.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5 – 8 Years’ experience in commercial experience in Repair and/or Conversion, Shipbuilding, or another Maritime industry.
  • Assertive and excellent negotiation skills
  • Must have open communication skills with a strong convincing personality, must have a problem-solving mentality and are customer and service orientated.
  • Preferably familiar with typical Ship Repair and Ship Building processes and working procedures.
  • Must be willing to travel abroad frequently (short-term assignments)
  • Bachelor’s degree or Post Graduate Degree in Marketing or Marine Engineering or equivalent.
