JOB SUMMARY:
A leading Brick Manufacturing Company requires an ambitious, goal orientated National Sales Manager to oversee the overall sales objectives, goals and revenue of the Sales Teams, develop and maintain successful relationships with Customers and grow the Customer base. Supporting the Sales Team in achieving this objective with a “can do” attitude!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

National Sales Manager Responsibilities:

Main duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Driven by results, committed to meeting deadlines, ambitious and dedicated, taking on full responsibility and ownership of the position.
  • Coordinate the involvement of company personnel including demand planning, operations, and logistics, marketing, merchandising, customer marketing, sell-thru and sell in, sales planning, credit control, and management resources, in order to meet key account performance objectives and expectations.
  • Manage, develop, coach, and motivate the sales force to ensure a high professional standard is achieved and monthly sales targets are met
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Provide the sales team with on-the-ground support by accompanying them in the trade on a regular basis and assisting them with closing deals in meetings
  • Identify potential opportunities and inform the sales team to follow up.
  • Attend to client complaints and resolve issues promptly.
  • Networking with potential business partners and clients.
  • Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities.
  • Responsible for pricing and forecasting and achieving set companies GP’s

  • Overseeing the activities and performance of the sales team like setting up a proper calendar to check that all activities are planned and set up.
  • Developing your sales team through motivation, counselling, and product knowledge education.
  • Monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics and prepare reports for senior management
  • Devising and implementing the company''s sales strategy.
  • Meeting with the Kam’s, reps and sales teams on a weekly basis to assess company performance against targets.
  • Oversee the marketing of the company and ensure marketing material is produced through an outsourced company.
  • Coordinate social media marketing.
  • The ongoing training of your salespeople.
  • Conduct customer satisfaction surveys and recommend ways of improving client satisfaction to CEO.
  • Ad hoc duties.

Previous experience in a sales-related role is a must as well as direct sales responsibilities in your previous career

  • Has been in a sales manager or similar position for a minimum of 8 years
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies.
  • Experience in customer relationship management.
  • Experience managing and directing a sales team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Dedication to providing great customer service.
  • Ability to lead a sales team by example.
  • Results orientated.
  • Deadline driven.
  • Must have excellent negotiation skills and persuasion abilities.
  • Ability to think analytically, conceptually and systematically in order to resolve problems.
  • Solid customer service attitude ambitious and a "can do" attitude!
  • Availability to travel as needed countrywide 30 % of the time
  • Excellent mathematical skills and strong attention to detail
  • Be willing to work overtime when required
  • Honest and Reliable

The successful incumbent will be responsible for a team of Kam’s, Sales Representatives and Reps and will also need to accompany Kam’s and or reps during site & store visits and assist them to achieve the company''s sales objectives and implement new business opportunities to grow the brand and the company.

You will be responsible for the sales team as well as overlooking the logistics department

This role is very hands-on, and will suit a proactive, dynamic individual with a "can do" attitude!

Must be an individual that is highly ambitious and is able to initiate marketing ideas and coordinate implementation of marketing materials

The successful incumbent should have comprehensive experience in executing strategic marketing plans and will report directly to the CEO.

The successful candidate will undergo ITC and criminal checks and psychometric testing
