National Sales Manager - Pinetown

SUMMARY:
Our client is a reputable Importer and Wholesaler focusing largely on supply to the Plumbing industry. They require a well-networked individual who hails from a similar context to join their team and lead the sales force on a National basis.

POSITION INFO:

Job Specification;

Manage the brand presence in the marketplace

Following up contacts for new business as well as providing an external link between branch and the existing customer base

Provide support to the Sales Representatives

Responsible for the external sales function and customer satisfaction by ensuring the efficient and effective running of the sales team

Coverage areas of Durban / Gauteng / Botswana / Namibia

Conduct market research to determine market requirements for existing and future products

Customer Rebates and Relationships

Dealing with customer queries

Budget, Goals, and Sales Target Management - setting budgeted targets for the year GP/ TO / Margin for the branch and the Sales team

Manage the sales administrative functions by ensuring that stipulated credit limits and account verification procedures are adhered to

Ensure that all promised services such as the delivery of a customer’s goods are delivered through liaising with operations

Maximises sales of business products and assist with marketing promotions

People Management ensure that the business values and Customer Service philosophies are implemented

Upholding and promoting the company values

Proven problem solving, people management, communication, and conflict handling skills

Implementing and maintaining sales, marketing strategies, and merchandising standards

Minimum Requirements

Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent

Relevant Tertiary qualification will be greatly advantageous

Must have experience within the plumbing trade/sector

Experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining market strategies

Technical marketing skills

Relevant product and industry knowledge

Experience with relevant software applications

Previous sales management experience minimum 5 years
