POSITION INFO:
In product-driven businesses, finance doesn’t just report the numbers - it helps drive operational performance. A well-established organisation is looking for an Operational Accountant to join their finance team in Randburg.

This role offers strong exposure to the operational side of finance, working closely with business units to ensure accurate reporting, financial control, and performance monitoring. If you enjoy understanding how the numbers connect to the day-to-day running of a business, this role provides an excellent platform to develop commercially.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparing monthly management accounts and operational reports
Performing balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger reviews
Supporting cost analysis and operational financial reporting
Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Monitoring financial performance across operational departments
Supporting internal controls and financial compliance processes
Assisting with audit preparation and reporting requirements

Job Experience and Skills Required:

BCom Accounting or a related finance qualification
Minimum 2+ years’ post-qualification experience in an accounting role
Experience within a product or operational environment advantageous
Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
Advanced Excel proficiency
Ability to work closely with operational teams and stakeholders
