SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly capable Operational Manager: Finance to join a well-established manufacturing company.

POSITION INFO:
This role is suited to a hands-on finance professional who is equally comfortable managing financial controls and being actively involved in day-to-day operations on the factory floor.

Key Responsibilities:

Finance:
- Full financial management function, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Monthly management accounts and financial reporting
- Costing, margin analysis, and manufacturing cost control
- Oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
- Ensure compliance with South African tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain strong internal controls and financial governance
- Support audits and liaise with external auditors and advisors
Operations:
- Partner with production and operations teams to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost optimisation
- Monitor and analyse production costs, variances, and operational KPIs
- Support inventory management, stock control, and WIP reporting
- Assist with process improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations
- Provide financial insight to support operational decision-making
- Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes, and controls

Requirements:

Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (BCom or equivalent)
Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in a finance role within a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and costing
Proven experience in an operational, hands-on finance role
Advanced Excel and ERP system experience
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
