SUMMARY:
Urgently seeking an Operations Manager (Production) for my client in the East Rand. The purpose of the position is to manage the entire production process for the client.

POSITION INFO:

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

B-Tech Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
6 - 8 years production management experience within an Engineering manufacturing environment, of which at least 4 years was in a management capacity).
Railway products manufacturing would be an added advantage.
Management/leadership training certificate would be an added advantage
Planning and organising skills.
Problem solving skills.
Judgement
Analytical Skills.
Business Acumen
Proficiency in Ms Office

RESPONSIBILTIES:

Capacity planning
** Assess and monitor production in line with delivery schedule. Capacity planning in line with Master Production schedule.
Finance
** Implement and control production/operations budget.
Production
** Ensure products are produced in line with customer specifications. Ensure that the number of scraped material within agreed percentage of products manufactured.
Manufacturing of products within agreed cost per unit.
Ensure productivity improvements are done in line with standard and quality norms.
Quality
** Ensure products are produced in line with quality standards
and costs of non-conformance are within agreed percentage of
cost of products manufactured.
Maintenance
** Manage maintenance to ensure optimum availability of equipment.
People Management
** Manage team performance and relationships
Compliance
** Ensure compliance culture in the department
