JOB SUMMARY:
Our client operating in the Investment Management sector is in the market for an Operations and Fund Finance Manager to join their team. The incumbent must be a qualified CA(SA) and have at least 2-3 years working experience in private equity fund administration and accounting. Please see the performance area criteria below for a more detailed description of the required responsibilities.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The incumbent will be required to provide private equity operations, fund financial management and compliance function to the company, to provide the executive with key financial information and operational analytics and ensure that the company and its investee companies remain compliant and to manage the full operational function of the fund.

Minimum Requirements:

CA(SA) or other related qualification
At least 2-3 years working experience in private equity fund administration and accounting is essential
Postgraduate Diploma in Compliance Management would be an advantage
FSCA Approved Compliance Officer for Cat I/ Cat II would be an advantage
Strong working knowledge and application experience of financial markets and financial securities/investments
Investment and financial industry experience (essential)

Financial Management - Responsible for handling all financial management tasks
Responsible for general accounting functions
Risk & Compliance
Operations
Assessing and addressing areas of financial risk
Establishing and maintaining financial records systems in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards and accounting principles
Monitoring, evaluating, and improving internal accounting controls
Developing short- and long-term financial plans
Monitoring accounting and auditing services at portfolio companies
Assisting in the annual auditing process
Dividend resolutions and calculations
Responsive to the needs of investee companies, team members and other stakeholders
