POSITION INFO:
A leading organisation within the manufacturing and automation sector is seeking an experienced PLC Specialist to join their technical team. This role is suited to a hands-on technician with strong automation, PLC programming, robotics and electrical fault-finding experience. Key Responsibilities Repair, maintain and troubleshoot industrial robots and automated equipment. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance in line with maintenance schedules, job cards and work instructions. Conduct electrical fault-finding across automation, robotics and production equipment. Assist with robotic applications, projects, installations and commissioning. Maintain accurate repair records and provide feedback on completed work. Participate in departmental problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure all work complies with company quality, SHEQ and safety requirements. Requirements T3\/S4 Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics. 5 years’ experience in Automation and Instrumentation, with 2–3 years in an electrical\/automation technician role. Extensive PLC programming experience, particularly Siemens S5\/S7 and TIA Portal. Experience with Siemens, ABB and KUKA robotics, including KRC4. Strong knowledge of automation, pneumatics, hydraulics, presses and robotics maintenance. Good technical fault-finding, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
