PROCUREMENT OFFICER - GLASS & ALUMINIUM MANUFACTURING (DURBAN)

SUMMARY:
An opportunity is available for an experienced Procurement Officer to manage the sourcing and purchasing of materials, maintain supplier relationships, and ensure uninterrupted production. The role includes negotiating with suppliers, managing inventory levels, controlling procurement costs, and supporting production through effective procurement planning.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements: Minimum 5 years' procurement experience, preferably in the glass, aluminium, manufacturing, or construction industry Strong knowledge of aluminium systems, glass products, hardware, and related materials Experience sourcing local and imported products Understanding of inventory management and stock control Experience negotiating supplier contracts and pricing Proficient in Microsoft Excel and procurement\/ERP systems Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Management, or related field advantageous CIPS or similar procurement qualification advantageous Valid driver's licence Strong negotiation, organisational, analytical, and communication skills By submitting any Personal Information to MPRTC in any form you acknowledge that such conduct constitutes a reasonable unconditional, specific and voluntary consent to the (processing and storing of such Personal Information by MPRTC and\/or MPRTC's clients and\/or verification information suppliers.
