Packing Plant Stock Controller

SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:

Responsible for managing stock movements in the packing plant. Monitoring and checking of packaging material usage within the packing plant. Working with plant supervisors to resolve packing plant bottle count variances. Ensuring decanting processes is followed and correctly recorded/processed in conjunction with the Refinery Manager

Duties:

1. Daily packing plant reconciliation (on Excel) – ensuring that each and every item in the packing plant balances with the products packed / produced in the packing plant. Ensuring bottle counter matches / ties up to meter readings per shift and reconciling any variances with issues, returns and requisition as well as line damages.
2. Assist in monthly stock counts in the packing plant and close out variances that may arise
3. Cycle counts in the packing plant and then balancing back to the SAGE number
4. Daily packaging material and damages reconciliation (on excel)- reconciling daily physical counts with what has been issued to production and what has been returned to receiving. Check daily variances with extra / short stock with the packing plant and the receiving supervisor.
5. Together with the Decanting Supervisor, review and ensure decanting schedule is maintained & updated.
6. General Admin in the packing plant- checking correctness and accuracy of filing processes of IPR’s and IBT documents for audit purposes.

Role Competencies

Attention to detail in resolving variances and being assertive when required. Good knowledge of SAGE pastel and intermediate excel skills required. Ability to work in a team independently

Qualifications

• Grade 12
• 2-3 years’ experience in FMCG (manufacturing preferred)
• Experience with Stock Controlling
• Sage and Excel experience
