Paid Media Performance Specialist

SUMMARY:
We are a leading group in the specialist recruitment sector seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Performance Marketer to lead the planning, execution, and optimisation of paid media campaigns across our portfolio of distinct brands and niche markets. This role is pivotal in driving qualified leads, optimising conversion funnels, and delivering measurable ROI for our recruitment businesses.
 
You will collaborate with our content, design, and marketing automation teams to build integrated campaigns while also partnering closely with our sales teams and senior leadership to ensure tight alignment with core business objectives.

POSITION INFO:

Strategy, Research & Planning
Lead comprehensive, evidence-based research to inform campaign strategy, content angles, and messaging that drives strong CTAs and conversion.
Use tools like SEMrush, Google Search Console, GA4, and platform insights to:
Size demand and intent by niche/role and geography.
Identify keyword/category opportunities, competitor gaps, and cost dynamics
Build market-entry paid strategies (positioning, channels, budgets, compliance, and localisation)

Create integrated plans across Paid Search, Paid Social (Meta, LinkedIn), Programmatic/Display, and Retargeting with clear hypotheses and budget models.
Proactively plan around industry peaks, candidate supply/demand dynamics, and commercial priorities.

Campaign Execution & Optimisation
Build and optimise campaigns end-to-end: account structure, audience design, bids/budgets, keywords, and placements.
Run systematic A/B tests on hooks, headlines, CTAs, visuals, and landing pages; quickly scale winners and sunset underperformers.
Implement retargeting and sequential messaging strategies to move prospects through the funnel.
Align creative requirements with the content and design team; brief assets with clear insight and CTA logic.

Content for Lead Acquisition & Customer Journeys
Define content that converts at each journey stage (Awareness, Consideration, Evaluation, Action)
Partner with the marketing automation lead to amplify high-value content and build sequences that lift lead quality
Ensure copy and landing pages use research-backed wording and CTAs, reflecting user intent

Analytics, Attribution & Reporting
Own reporting on budget, pacing, CPL, CPA, CVR, ROAS, lead quality, and pipeline contribution
Maintain clean tracking: GA4, GTM, UTM governance, and conversion events
Build dashboards; deliver weekly insights and monthly deep dives with clear actions
Conduct competitor benchmarking and present opportunity maps

Collaboration & Sales Alignment
Work with internal stakeholders to understand niche talent markets and client demand—translate these into targeted, high-intent campaigns
Share insights that improve sales follow-up speed, lead handling, and qualification
Coordinate with other marketing functions for cohesive, on-brand execution across all brands
Ensure compliance with platform policies and regional regulations for cross-border campaigns

Skills & Experience (Not negotiable):
Mid-Level: 2-3 years of hands-on experience in performance marketing
Demonstrated ability to run and optimise campaigns across Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and programmatic platforms
Proven track record in content-driven lead acquisition and aligning campaigns with customer journeys
Strong data analytics skills; proficiency in GA4, Google Ads, SEMrush, and social platform dashboards
Must be able to build own reports and dashboards using data visualization tools or Excel
Ability to draw insights from data and execute decisions based on findings
