JOB SUMMARY:
A well-established business is seeking 12 month contract Payments Platform Architect.

The Payments Platform architect is responsible for the design, development, delivery and ongoing maintenance of an enterprise Payments Platform architectures and related execution roadmaps, assuring its continued alignment to the overarching objectives of the business, IT and enterprise architecture (EA) requirements.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

BSc Computer Science or BComm Information Systems / Informatics or a similarly relevant Information Technology
degree from a recognized university
Architecture practice and modelling-related certifications e.g., TOGAF, Bredemeyer, Zachmann, UML, eTOM, SOA.
Architecture tooling certifications & experience e.g., Sparx, Casewise, ARIS, iServer.
ITIL certifications would be beneficial
Supporting technology or business domain certifications

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

8+ years’ experience as an architecture practitioner
5+ years’ experience in Billing and Payments/Acceptance-specific architecture and solution design
5+ years’ experience in leading/managing architecture and/or Payments and Acceptance implementation teams
3+ years’ experience in implementing large, mid-size and small Payments and Acceptance solutions/projects
Deep domain knowledge of Payments and Acceptance and cloud systems/platforms & implementations, and hands on experience working on related technologies with customers in those markets
Experience with different Payment and Acceptance related systems and ecosystems
Detailed experience and successful track record in establishing Payments and Acceptance capabilities, defining and driving the adoption of related architectures and capabilities e.g. Payment Processing, Clearing & Settlement, Fees/Commission Management and Reconciliation.
Knowledge and practical application of common Payments and Acceptance architectures like Point-of-Sale and eCommerce Acceptance, including integration into upstream and downstream core systems e.g. General Ledger, Partner & 3rd Party Payment Gateways, Pricing & Billing systems, Customer-facing & back-office channels & systems
Business process optimization skills related to Payments and Acceptance -specific processes and concepts, including data privacy, data security, legal and regulatory requirements for Payment and Acceptance service related models
Strong understanding of software design and DevOps concepts
Azure DevOps (ADO) and SaFe Agile experience will be beneficial
