Requirements:
Minimum requirements / experience

  • Matric
  • Degree / Diploma in Payroll Administration Management
  • 5 – 10 years’ experience as a Payroll Manager
  • Must have experience on VIP Payroll system
  • Sub Saharan Africa payroll management experience
  • Expatriates payroll experience
  • Individual tax experience
  • Payroll administration experience in Mining/Construction or related will be an advantage

Responsibilities:
Build and maintain good relationships with a variety of relevant stakeholders.
Liaise with a range of suppliers, foster and maintain supplier relations.
Handle and attend to a range of supplier queries and complaints.

Participate and interact with external stakeholders.
Develop and manage internal/external customer relationships to meet business objectives.
Identify cost saving and cash conservation opportunities.
Assist in preparing and managing the budget of the function.
Contribute towards improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the Human Capital Quality Management System from payroll perspective.
Contribute to the HC Strategy by making recommendations on relevant policies, practices, processes systemsband initiatives.
Administer employee promotions, movements, transfers etc.
Process, maintain and update annual increases.
Compile and process information for employee promotions, movements and transfers.
Audit and check payroll information (salary increases etc).
Lead the implementation of payroll in accordance with substantive or collective agreements with organised labour with regards to increases.
Conduct medical aid, provident fund and UIF administration (new employees, changes and resignations).
Assist in preparing and managing the budget of the business.
Manage statutory deductions reconciliations and reviewed prepared IRP eFiling submissions.
Prepare international tax reconciliations/IRP5’s for payments in foreign countries.
Review and quality assure changes/variations within the payroll system and review engagements,terminations and documentation in relation to employee changes on the system.
Submit Workman’s Compensation annual returns.
Coordinate the payroll input process and capture process payroll information (time sheets, allowances, deductions etc).

Non-negotible requirements:

  • 5 – 10 years’ experience as a Payroll Manager
  • The candidate must have a mining or construction background
  • Must have experience/worked on SAGE VIP 300
  • Expatriate experience (Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho)
