SUMMARY:
My focus client in the Construction and Mining industry is currently in the market for a Payroll Manager. The ideal candidate must have at least five years’ experience in a similar role.

POSITION INFO:

My focus client in the Construction and Mining industry is currently in the market for a Payroll Manager. The ideal candidate must have at least five years’ experience in a similar role.

Qualifications and Experience:

• BCom or Diploma
• 5 years’ experience
• Staff management experience
• Payroll, wages, and foreign payroll experience
• Payroll tax experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Implements and maintains and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing payroll transactions including, wages, salaries, benefits, garnishee orders, taxes, and other deductions
• Ensure correct processing of leave and employee benefits, and the maintenance of personal files
• Oversee the efficient operation of the employee self-service system
• Ensures that all financial capturing and processing is done in accordance with company’s policies and procedures
• Updating payroll software
• Ensure accurate payroll updates, new employee engagement, terminations, job titles and changes to pay rates
• Preparation of various EFT files
• Ensure compliance
• Communicates payroll changes to Group CFO
