My focus client in the Construction and Mining industry is currently in the market for a Payroll Manager. The ideal candidate must have at least five yearsÃ¢Â€Â™ experience in a similar role.

POSITION INFO:

My focus client in the Construction and Mining industry is currently in the market for a Payroll Manager. The ideal candidate must have at least five years’ experience in a similar role.

Qualifications and Experience:

BCom or Diploma
5 years’ experience
Staff management experience
Payroll, wages, and foreign payroll experience
Payroll tax experience

Key Responsibilities:

Implements and maintains and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing payroll transactions including, wages, salaries, benefits, garnishee orders, taxes, and other deductions
Ensure correct processing of leave and employee benefits, and the maintenance of personal files
Oversee the efficient operation of the employee self-service system
Ensures that all financial capturing and processing is done in accordance with company’s policies and procedures
Updating payroll software
Ensure accurate payroll updates, new employee engagement, terminations, job titles and changes to pay rates
Preparation of various EFT files
Ensure compliance
Communicates payroll changes to Group CFO
