SUMMARY:
Payroll Manager Edenvale - SAGE 300

POSITION INFO:

The purpose of this position; Is to manage, direct, control and process the company''''''''s payroll and all other payroll related duties.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12, 
  • Diploma in Management 
  • SAGE 300 People 
  • NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN PAYROLL
 

Experience:

  • Must have 5-10years working experince in a Payroll / Financial rolee
  • Proven full function end to end working knowledge on
  • SAGE 300
  • Proven full function end to end working knowledge on SAGE 300 People payroll software including WSS.
  •  
  • Employee Benefit Administration essential
  • Proven working knowledge and experience of payroll and accounting practices and principals
  • Proven working knowledge and experience with BCEA, Income Tax Act, LRA and COIDA acts
  • Intermediate / Advanced Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel and Outlook Skills
  • NBCRFLI Council
 
Knowledge:
Understanding of employee benefit options and relevant regulations (Pension Fund Act, Medical Scheme Act)
Payroll tax legislation impacting payroll
Working knowledge and clear understanding of legislation relevant to earnings and benefits
Must possess a good understanding of accounting concepts, the ability to produce accounting reconciliations, reports and compile accounting journals.

Payroll Processing and Administration (70%)
Payroll planning, processing of payrolls
Ensure Retirement Fund reconciliation, return, submission and payment is effected monthly on time
Ensure Medical Aid reconciliation, return, submission and payment is effected monthly on time
Payroll GL control account reconciliation performed monthly
Monthly reconciliation of the IRP''''''''s
Ensure UIF submissions are made
Capturing data for EMP201 payments and ensure payments are released on time
Ensure mid year and year end SARS tax submissions are completed and submitted on time
Print and circulate annual IRP''''''''s
Monthly Reporting
Month end / 3rd Party payments, statutory reporting and payroll related GL control accounts regulation
Prepare UI19 & UI2.7 for maternity leave and terminated employeesAssist Auditors with queries related to Payroll
