Plant Manager

SUMMARY:
Reporting to the COO – The Manager is accountable and responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Manufacturing Supply Chain.

POSITION INFO:

Main Responsibilities:
1. Lead and deliver improvements in factory Safety, Health, Environmental and Risk.
2. Lead a multidisciplinary team to achieve business objectives.
3. Develop an effective, capable and high performing operational organization.
4. Lead, drive and promote a culture of High performance and Continuous Improvement in all aspects of the business.
5. Determine and implement best operating practices, including optimization programs to minimize operating cost and improving product quality.
6. Forecast and plan for ongoing operational needs, including technology, facilities, equipment and manpower.
7. Ensure compliance with all legislative, environmental requirements and permits.

We are specifically looking for a person with great people leadership skills as well as exceptional technical skills. The incumbent will have demonstrated the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, work collaboratively to address challenges, and have a positive influence on site culture.

Requirements:
1. A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Paper and Pulp Making, Paper Process, Paper Technology augmented by a tertiary qualification in management and/or business administration.
2. A minimum of 10years'' experience at a senior management level in a manufacturing environment or equivalent.
3. Proven leadership track record.
4. Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the flexibility to effectively respond to continually changing internal and external business conditions.
6. Well-developed verbal, written and oral presentation communication skills.
