SUMMARY:
High profile and successful Investment Management company seeks a Portfolio Specialist. This position sits at the intersection of investment management and advisor relationships and works closely with the asset management team as well as financial advisors dealing with complex scenarios.

POSITION INFO:
We seek a candidate with a completed BCom Honours and minimum completed CFA Level 2 with approximately 5 years relevant Investment asset management experience as an Investment Analyst / Portfolio Analyst or similar technical role.

The key to this position is the desire and ability to succeed successfully in both worlds – investment asset management and advisor relations.

On the investment asset management side, the candidate must be comfortable with attending investment committee discussions, following portfolio decisions and understanding market and portfolio construction as well as asset allocation.

You will also act as an operational support resource to the Senior Portfolio Strategist, enabling efficient delivery of solutions. Here you will provide analytical, research, and preparation support for complex portfolio design, client engagements, and bespoke solutioning.

On the advisor side, the candidate must be comfortable speaking to advisors assisting them with portfolio moves, difficult client scenarios or complex investment questions – solving where possible or bringing back to the investment team. You will be the key contact for questions on portfolio positioning, performance and strategy.

You will also work with the investment and marketing teams to develop materials that help advisors communicate portfolio decisions to clients.
