SUMMARY:

Design and develop highâpower electronic systems for gridâconnected solar, battery, and industrial applications. This role is handsâon and executionâdriven, focused on delivering robust products that perform reliably at realâworld scale.

POSITION INFO:

A specialized power electronics and energy systems business is seeking a Power Electronics Engineer to contribute to the development, validation, and technical support of highâpower conversion products used in utilityâscale renewable energy and industrial applications. This is a handsâon, productâcentric role suited to an engineer with a strong understanding of gridâconnected power conversion, battery energy storage systems, and industrial motor control, who is comfortable working on real equipment in complex, safetyâcritical, and highly regulated environments.

Education:

BEng / BSc in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
3+ years’ experience in power electronics design or product support
Strong understanding of mediumâ to highâpower conversion systems
Experience with simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, LTspice, or PSpice
Practical experience with testing and troubleshooting power electronic hardware
Solid understanding of thermal management, EMC, and protection schemes

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Design and development of highâpower converters and inverters for renewable energy and energy storage systems
Support the lifecycle of gridâconnected solar PV inverters, battery converters, and related power electronics products
Develop and review power stage designs including DC/DC, DC/AC, and AC/AC topologies
Selection and validation of power semiconductor devices (IGBTs, MOSFETs, SiC)
Perform circuit simulation, control loop analysis, and performance optimisation
Support factory and site testing, commissioning, and fault investigation
Work closely with control, systems, and commissioning engineers
Ensure compliance with electrical standards and gridâcode requirements
