Lead impactful building services projects with a respected engineering consultancy delivering complex HVAC solutions across South Africa.

POSITION INFO:
Our client is an established South African engineering consultancy specialising in mechanical building services and HVAC solutions across commercial, healthcare, and specialised facilities. Known for technical excellence and practical engineering delivery, the business offers exposure to multi-disciplinary projects, collaborative teams, and long-term career growth within a professional consulting engineering environment focused on quality and innovation.

The successful candidate will lead HVAC and mechanical building services design projects from concept through to construction and commissioning. Responsibilities include engineering calculations, system design, technical reporting, client engagement, contractor coordination, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The role also involves mentoring junior engineers, supporting project delivery timelines, and contributing to technically sound, cost-effective engineering solutions.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Professional registration as Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng (ECSA) with minimum 5 years' post-registration experience
10 + years’ experience in HVAC and mechanical building services consulting engineering
Proven experience in HVAC system design, load calculations, and project delivery
SAQA-verified Mechanical Engineering qualification (BEng / BTech / NDip)
Strong client interaction, project coordination, and technical reporting skills
