Process Architecture Specialist

We are looking for a Process Architecture Specialist to join our financial services client based in Sandton for a 12-month contract role.

The Process Architecture Specialist will be responsible for leading enterprise-wide process architecture and process engineering initiatives, ensuring that business processes are strategically designed, optimised, governed, and aligned with the organisation's enterprise architecture. The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in Process Mining, Process Architecture, and the ARIS Repository, while partnering with business and technology stakeholders to drive transformation across the enterprise.

POSITION INFO:
What you will be doing: Design, define, and optimise enterprise business processes across multiple business units. Lead enterprise process architecture initiatives aligned with organisational strategy. Perform process mining and process analysis to identify optimisation opportunities. Develop and maintain enterprise process architecture standards, frameworks, and governance. Guide business stakeholders in designing future-state business processes rather than documenting current-state processes. Ensure business processes comply with governance, risk, and regulatory requirements. Drive continuous improvement initiatives through process engineering best practices. Maintain and govern the enterprise ARIS Repository. Support enterprise architecture transformation and restructuring initiatives. Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to ensure business processes align with technology architecture. Analyse end-to-end business processes across departments to improve operational efficiency. Provide leadership and guidance to the organisation's Process Engineering practice. Facilitate stakeholder workshops and provide strategic consulting on process improvements. Identify opportunities to improve business performance through process optimisation and process mining insights. Support business transformation and digital transformation programmes. What we are looking for: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Extensive experience in Enterprise Process Architecture. Strong hands-on experience with Process Mining tools and methodologies. Extensive experience working with the ARIS Repository (essential). Strong Process Engineering and Business Process Management (BPM) experience. Solid understanding of Enterprise Architecture principles and frameworks. Experience defining, designing, governing, and optimising enterprise business processes. Strong understanding of governance, risk, and compliance requirements. Experience working within large, complex enterprise environments. Banking or financial services experience is advantageous but not essential. Strong financial and commercial acumen. Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation, consulting, and communication skills. Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive enterprise-wide change.
