Process Draughtswoman

SUMMARY:

Process Draughtsperson (Contract) for the Mining & Minerals Division

POSITION INFO:

Main Purpose of the Role:

• To produce project related process diagrams and process instructions
• Completion of diagrams according to man hour budgets and schedules
• Completion of error free diagrams to good drafting practices
• Complete all administrational functions related to function

• Production of diagrams for process discipline in relevant department design packages
• Produce electronic and hardcopy diagrams and related data files
• Work in conjunction with multi-disciplinary engineers / designers
• Timely and accurate completion of diagrams to schedules
• Adherence to man hour budgets
• Adherence to company / department standards and procedures
• Multi-task project diagrams and miscellaneous tasks as directed by the Section Lead / Process Engineer, to meet deadlines
• Work overtime from time to time as per project requirement
• Solve problems of a routine nature with ample precedent or clearly defined procedures
• Perform validation checks on all diagrams, databases and lists/reports generated
• Assist with training of peers/new designers, if and when requested by the Section Lead
• Assist with uphold of standards, procedures and any relevant documentation, if and when requested by the Section Lead/Senior Process Designer.

• Minimum 5 years Process Design experience of which at least 2 years is in the mining and mineral processing area.
• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Desirable:
• Proficiency with AVEVA P&ID or intelligent P&ID software

• Understanding of the composition and purpose of process drawings and associated documentation.
• Well developed computer skills with keen knowledge of related drafting software packages including AutoCAD, relational databases and excel spreadsheets.
• Good communication skills.
• Methodical approach to allocated work areas.
• Must be able to work under pressure.

• Basic excel knowledge.

• Must be a team player.
• Must have a amicable attitude.
