We are seeking a qualified, goal-driven, and self-motivated Procurement Controller to join our Procurement team.

Purpose of the Role

The Procurement Controller supports effective inventory and procurement management across the National Renal Care Group by reviewing inventory counts and Surgicom reports, identifying and implementing changes to ordering patterns, and supporting units in maintaining effective stock control practices. The role travels to units to train and support Stock Controllers and relevant staff, monitors adherence to NRC procurement policies and SOPs, and maintains professional supplier relationships.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements Qualifications Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification. Relevant qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Finance, or a related field. Experience Previous experience in procurement, inventory control, stock management or a related environment. Experience reviewing inventory reports and stock counts. Experience working with an inventory or procurement management system. Experience in a multi-unit healthcare or similar operational environment. Experience providing training or operational support to stock control staff. Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability and willingness to travel to NRC units as required. Knowledge Inventory and stock control principles. Procurement administration and policy compliance. Analytical ability and the ability to interpret inventory reports. Attention to detail and numerical accuracy. Planning, organisation and follow-through. Training, coaching and communication skills. Supplier relationship management. Problem-solving and corrective action follow-up. Professional conduct and customer service. Working conditions Regular travel to NRC units nationally is required. Professional flexibility in working hours to support operational requirements and unit visits. Regular interaction with internal stakeholders, suppliers and service providers through various communication channels.
