SUMMARY:
Reporting into the Executive Directors, our client is seeking to appoint a Procurement Manager who will assume responsibility for the entire procurement function in the organisation.

POSITION INFO:

Extensive experience in the heavy manufacturing sector, ideally the metals sector.

Relevant Bachelors’ degree in Commerce is a minimum requirement
10 years’ procurement experience in the heavy manufacturing sector
In-depth knowledge and experience of any inventory management system
Extensive experience in the procurement of spares, workshop materials, heavy and light industry machinery, maintenance and metallurgy in the heavy manufacturing sector
ISO experience
Experience in BBBEE procurement management
Experience in managing imports
Experience in the daily supervision of Raw Materials in the Stores Department
Experience in the calculation of materials issued including materials used in production
Experience in preparing, reviewing and maintaining supplier contracts
Proficient in MS Excel
Proficient in ERP applications
Proven ability to lead staff and ensure maximum productivity
Negotiation skills
