Procurement Officer

SUMMARY:
Our client is an established international industrial business with more than 20 years of experience serving the pump and fluid-handling industry, supplying a diverse range of products to the Mining, Industrial, Agricultural and Utility sectors.

We are currently recruiting for a Procurement Officer to join their Montana-based team. This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional who is experienced in purchasing, supplier coordination and electronic stock management and who would like to build a career within an established international organisation.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day procurement activities and purchasing requirements. Source products and materials from approved and potential suppliers. Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations, pricing and lead times. Place and follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery. Maintain effective supplier relationships and communicate regarding orders, pricing and availability. Monitor stock levels and assist with replenishment requirements. Maintain accurate procurement and stock-related records on electronic systems. Track outstanding orders and delivery schedules. Liaise with internal departments regarding procurement and stock requirements. Assist with identifying cost-effective purchasing opportunities. Ensure procurement processes and documentation are maintained accurately. Minimum Requirements Matric \/ Grade 12. Minimum 2 years' procurement experience. Experience with electronic stock management \/ inventory systems. Strong administrative and organisational skills. Good computer literacy. Bilingual in Afrikaans and English. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and supplier relationship-management skills. Previous experience within an industrial, manufacturing, engineering, technical or related environment will be advantageous. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is organised, commercially aware and hands-on , with the ability to manage multiple purchasing requirements while maintaining accurate stock and procurement records. The successful candidate should be comfortable working with suppliers, internal stakeholders and electronic procurement\/stock systems.
