JOB SUMMARY:
Company based in Durban is looking for the above ASAP to procure, monitor and control consumable stock.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Procurement Management

Ensure integrity in Supplier Management, Sourcing and transparency
Fulfill procurement activities and supervise procurement administration
Drive supplier contracts
Provide procurement administration support to Projects and Plants

Control Milestones

Achieve agreed targets and work within agreed deadlines in line with Procurement objectives
Assist in the management of supplier contract amendments process
Create and maintain catalogues on the ERP system

BBBEE

Optimise BBBEE spend

Tenders

To set up and issue timing plans for Projects for which the incumbent is responsible

Key Material Trend Analysis

Maintain and update material standards (exchange rates, raw material trends, etc.)

Supplier Evaluations

Assist the Factory with the resolution of supplier problems (Quality, supply, etc.)
Maintain and develop Suppliers to add value by targeted value added projects, substitution, aggregation of purchase value engineering
Review key Supplier performance (audits and supplier visits) and compile Supplier Reports
Identify opportunities for improvements with Suppliers
Chair supplier/end-user meetings to maintain strategic supplier relationships
Assist in the design of the supplier audit matrix; implement, maintain, and manage

Purchasing

Monitor, Control and negotiate raw material prices
Manage supplier scorecard and action where necessary

Logistics

Monitor and manage inventory levels at plants
Report stock adjustments by plant with actions to correct
Manage Stock take via plant logistics and ensure standardisation

Reporting

Complete Procurement and Logistics reports

Continuos Improvement

Supplier base optimisation and rationalisation
Drive Standardisation by plant
Drive ERP improvement per plant

Requirements

Grade 12 with emphasis on Maths and Accounting
National Diploma in Purchasing Management (Non Negotiable)
Minimum 5 years experience working in a similar role
Must understand and have previous experience in Purchasing principles
Basics in Local and International trade (Foreign currency, exchange rates..etc)
Comupter literate
