SUMMARY:
A manufacturer of personal care products is looking for a Product Development Coordinator to join their team on a 6-month fixed term contract. The Product Development Coordinator will provide structured operational support to the Product Development Managers during a maternity leave period, ensuring continuity across sourcing, costing, documentation, packaging development, and packaging supplier coordination. The duties include, but are not limited to: Source and obtain quotations for primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging. Request samples, visuals, and technical packaging drawings and die lines. Follow up on supplier timelines to support feasibility and tender deadlines. Create and maintain project template, timelines and feasibility documents. Prepare accurate and up-to-date P&Ls and BOM’s. Packaging development of shippers / outer cartons. Brief designer on in-house labels using approved templates/sizes. Prepare print-ready PDFs for internal or supplier sign off. Submit PDF to print shop to print once off label for sign off. Submit barcode numbers for tertiary packaging to print shop for sampling and sign off by customer. Liaise with Lab, QCI, Master Data, Planning, and Packaging Suppliers. Track open actions and follow up on outstanding deliverables. Support preparation for Feasibility and Handover meetings. Attend internal and external customer project meetings. Prepare agendas and minutes for meetings.

POSITION INFO:
Key Requirements: Qualification in Business, Packaging, Product Development, or Supply Chain. 2–3 years’ experience in consumer product development support, packaging sourcing, or commercial administration. Interim to Advanced Microsoft Excel capability. Working knowledge of consumer product packaging components and formats or exposure to this area.

Additional Requirements: Strong numeracy and commercial awareness. High attention to detail. Organised and deadline-driven. Clear written and spoken communication in English. Supplier interface and coordination capability. Basic graphic layout skill or understanding.
