POSITION INFO:

My client in the Manufacturing / FMCG space is seeking to employ a Production Manager to join their company.

Duties include: 

• Overseeing all machine and plant maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Leading the production team to foster a motivated, high-performing workforce.
• Assisting with fault diagnosis and root cause analysis, ensuring timely resolutions and accurate completion of production logs and job cards.
• Monitoring and improving machine efficiency
• Identifying and implementing measurable technical and process improvements to enhance overall production effectiveness.
• Preparing and managing the budget for moulds and equipment, including effective control of consumable costs.
• Controlling the use and cost of spare parts to ensure budget compliance.
• Collaborating with the Quality Department to maintain compliance with ISO standards and uphold quality benchmarks.
• Supervising and supporting the training and development of all production staff.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum N4 qualification; an Engineering Degree or National Diploma is advantageous
• 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing production environment, preferably within FMCG
• 3–5 years of essential experience in production management within a continuous production environment
• Proficient computer literacy is essential
• Strong attention to detail
