SUMMARY:
A well-established and reputable textile and clothing manufacturing company is looking to appoint a Production Manager to oversee operations at their facility in Durban North (Phoenix). This role is suited for a results-driven, hands-on leader with experience managing multiple production lines in a clean, fast-paced manufacturing environment.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, and manage daily production activities to achieve quality, efficiency, and output targets.
Oversee and optimise multiple production lines, ensuring the on-time delivery of finished goods.
Develop and maintain production schedules aligned with operational and business objectives.
Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Lead and supervise production teams, including training, mentoring, and performance management.
Monitor and analyse productivity and performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate cross-functionally with planning, quality control, maintenance, and supply chain departments.
Prepare and present detailed production reports and operational insights to senior leadership.

Requirements:

Diploma in Production Management, Industrial Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a production management role.
Solid experience in the textile, clothing, or clean manufacturing industry is essential.
Strong knowledge of production workflows, quality standards, and health & safety protocols.
Demonstrated ability to manage teams and production lines with precision and efficiency.
Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Comfortable working in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
