Production Manager

Production & Operations Manage and coordinate daily mining production activities to meet ROM and waste targets Oversee drilling, blasting, loading, and hauling operations Ensure continuous production flow and optimal equipment utilisation Safety & Compliance Take full legal responsibility for the designated operational area (2.6.1 appointment) Ensure compliance with MHSA and all relevant regulations Implement and enforce safe working systems, risk assessments, and PTO processes Conduct inspections and investigate incidents, stopping unsafe work where necessary Team & Contractor Management Lead and supervise production supervisors, operators, and contractors Coordinate shift activities and ensure effective handovers Manage labour performance, discipline, and attendance Ensure contractor compliance with safety and operational standards Equipment & Performance Management Monitor fleet availability and coordinate with engineering teams Track downtime, identify inefficiencies, and drive improvements Minimise equipment misuse and operational risks Reporting & Administration Prepare and review daily production reports and KPIs Investigate production losses and delays Provide operational feedback and ensure accurate record-keeping Environmental & Community Responsibilities Ensure compliance with environmental standards (e.g., dust suppression) Monitor environmental risks and address community concerns Promote responsible and sustainable mining practices.
