Production Manager

SUMMARY:
Feed Mill Production Manager for National Company.
Involved in the planning and co-coordinating of the feed manufacturing processes to ensure that the products and services are effective and produced according to the rite costs and quality. Responsible for the management and coordination of the feed mills processes including intake, storage, grinding, batching, mixing, pelting and dispatch of product, continuous improvement of the facilities performance and overall equipment efficiency and stock control.

POSITION INFO:
Matric (Grade 12),Production Diploma
5 years in animal feed manufacturing environment.
2 years management experience in FMCG (fast moving consumer goods).
Legal compliance, OSHAct
Basic Employment act, ISO standards
Good Manufacturing Practices
Ensure adequate raw material levels in proportioning bins
Ensure adequate final feed stock levels in out-loading bins
Participate in schedule planned maintenance
Check & ensure that pellet and feed quality meets specifications
Manage raw material and final feed line / system flushing
Daily, weekly, monthly monitoring & control of overall equipment efficiency
Implement initiative to address deviations
Ensure accurate completion of shift production Key performance indicators
Adequately report machine & equipment failures to maintenance department
