JOB SUMMARY:
Our client in the packaging industry is looking for a Production Manager to join their establishment.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Area: Qwaqwa, Free State
Minimum requirements for the role:

A tertiary qualification in Production Management is preferred.
Previous production management experience within a Packaging Industry in a supervisory role is essential.
Must be able to implement processes and procedures.
Must have extensive understanding of on-time-in-full (OTIF) manufacturing.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Computer literacy with good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Managing, observing and evaluating workers and work procedures in order to ensure quality standards and service.
Assigning duties, responsibilities and workstations to employees in accordance with work requirements.
Ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Ensuring housekeeping of the factory at all times.
Overseeing and ensuring operation of equipment by calling for repairs and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
Providing manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analysing production performance records and data.
Resolving personnel problems by analysing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions and recommending corrective action.
Maintaining professional and technical knowledge.
Contributing to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained
