JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our Client in the Poultry industry is looking to hire Production Manager based in Johannesburg.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have 5 – 10 years’ experience as Production manager in Poultry/ Meat processing industry
Must have Food Safety Certification
Must have knowledge of HCCP/ HACCP guidelines

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDES:

Direct and supervise the activities of food production staff
Enforcing HACCP procedures and undergoing food safety Audits
Monitoring production quality to minimize customer complaints and rejects
Oversee management of raw materials

BEHAVIOURAL SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

Time Management: Able to achieve production targets within set timeframe
Decision Making: In consultation with the production manager, adept to taking key production decisions to ensure manufacture of high-quality products.
Business Processes: Good understanding of business processes and equipment
Leadership: Strong managerial and leadership qualities
Computer Literate: proficiency in MS Office with emphasis on Excel
Analytical: The ability to identify and solve complex problems
