Production Manager - Electrode Plant

The process 

1) Preparation of core wire 2)Preparation of dry mix processes 3) Preparation of wet mix processes 4) Extrusion coating applications 5) Baking of coated electrodes 6) Quality Control 7) Grading and 8) Packaging

Monitoring & Executing the detailed production activities in plant – A-line and Packing. Execution of daily shift-wise production planning, coordination, and control of manufacturing processes. Ensure effective and optimum utilization of company resources viz. man, machine, and materials. Continuously improve processes, products, and people.

 KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE 

 General

• Member of the Site Management

•  Drive and develop the company vs targets (KPI’s) and plans set up by the Regional Management

• Set and develop the organization/staff vs the defined targets/goals

• Prepare budget and follow up cost center reporting (related to the department)

• Prepare and follow-up on Capex (related the department)

• Design and continuously improve necessary documentation such as SOP’s, work instructions and records for the Quality and Technical Service Department and ensure efficient reporting system

•  Continuously seek cost improvement initiatives within the department in alignment with cost-saving program

• Issue nonconformity (NC) report wherever applicable

• All HSE-related topics within the department

• Develop and maintain 5S within the department

• Encourage staff participation in kaizen and suggestion scheme – vaBW JoinPerformance Program

• Execute and monitor the daily production plan to ensure that production targets are met and Rollout Best Practices and Shop Floor Improvement Programmes, in accordance with objectives and spirit of each initiative.    

Mechanical Engineering Production Management 6 Sigma and or related qualifications
