Production Manager (Foam Manufacturing)

SUMMARY:
Our client who is a leading manufacturer of cellular foam is urgently looking for an experienced Production Manager with experience in Supply Chain Management/Logistics.

POSITION INFO:

Location: Sebenza, Edenvale

Job Description: To manage and procure materials for the Gauteng manufacturing plant and ensuring Production Planning, Inventory management, and supply of finished and semi-finished goods from internal and external customers.

• Matric
• A degree/diploma in Supply Chain Management/Operations Management
• 10 years of production working experience within a foam environment/within the automotive industry. (non-negotiable)
• Must have Syspro ERP system experience
• Must have good knowledge of the OHS Act and inventory control.
• Must have knowledge of Industrial Relations and the LRA.

Responsibilities:

• Overall responsibility of ensuring the supply of goods for the Gauteng region 
• Ensuring GIT
• Stock takes and cycle counts
• Fleet maintenance and servicing
• Oversee the performance of the team
• Complying with SOP’s, stores, and systems protocol
• Relationship management with suppliers
• Engaging in continuous improvement activities to optimize the Supply Chain
