Production and Maintenance Supervisor - 6 month contract

SUMMARY:
An established international manufacturer of specialised agrochemicals is seeking an experienced shift production/maintenance technician to ensure all manufacturing processes are well managed and controlled, delivering quality product on time whilst being able to attend to smaller breakdowns.

POSITION INFO:


Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have a B.Tech degree or Trade qualification (Millwright or Electrical trade)
• At least 4 years relevant experience will be required
• Production or maintenance experience within the chemical manufacturing or related industries will be beneficial
• Must be willing and able to work shifts
• Supervisory experience would be ideal

• Ensuring a safe working environment at all times and that a culture, founded in HSE, is maintained.
• Managing production processes to ensure good quality and consistency are achieved during manufacturing.
• Ensuring materials usage is well managed and controlled.
• Driving process improvements in formulation or fill and pack production lines.
• Developing initiatives that will reduce waste generation and reduce variable production costs.
• Managing a diverse team of employees.
• Ensuring continuous people development takes place that will deliver a sustainable high performing workforce.
• Overseeing, implementing and co-ordinating autonomous maintenance in the assigned area.
• Incorporating Operational Excellence to improve delivery of value-adding activities.
• Reducing and managing process risks that can compromise product quality.
• Implementing systems that will improve the ways of working.
• Working alongside other departments and teams to ensure the strategic objectives of the company are achieved.
