Programme Manager

SUMMARY:
A Financial Institute in the Centre of Pretoria has a full time CONTRACT vacancy for a Programme Manager

The Company’s cross department research committee (CDRC) works within and across the SFAs to ensure that the coordination of policy making and implementation is effective.

This request for vendors to source and supply a Programme Manager to run Cross Departmental Research Committee’s portfolio of projects at the Company

The resource is to ensure that CDRC projects are delivered to specification, within budget and on time, whilst benefits in accordance with the business cases are realised.

POSITION INFO:

A minimum of a Honours degree or an equivalent qualification;A programme/project management qualification; andA minimum of eight to ten years’ job-related experience in managing multiple large and complex programmes.

A minimum of eight to ten years’ job-related experience in managing multiple projects in a portfolio.
Must be proficient in project management framework, tools and techniques
Strong facilitation skills
Able to manage with senior Stakeholders
Project exposure (waterfall and/or agile methodologies)
Exposure to the finance industry (e.g. banks, insurers);
Exposure to regulatory programmes and projects;
Experience in policy and economic research environment;
Agile experience; and
Design thinking capability

Project financial management knowledge and skill;

Proven ability to run projects and programmes and projects throughout their lifecycle
Responsible for programme planning, project prioritisation, coordination, staging and integration and execution of the CDRC portfolio of projects.
Support Policy Leads on their respective programmes.
Allocate and balance dedicated project resources, and negotiate and agree the allocation of business project team members to ensure effective skills utilisation.
Facilitate the development of the business case, charter and other project initiation documents in accordance with the banks project methodology.
Facilitate design workshops
Engage with, and present to, senior stakeholders within the SARB at various stages of the different life cycles, and ensure change management plans and networks are in place and implemented according to schedule.
Oversee the delivery by project team members of project progresses according to the approved schedule, and that the expected deliverables are produced within budget and according to specification and quality standards.
Conduct required programme meetings to consolidate reporting, and manage risks and constraints, thereby ensuring cohesion, consistency and integrity of output.
Oversee the delivery of project benefits and/or consolidated Programme benefits.
Monitor post-implementation reviews to ensure the sustainability of project solutions.
Provide support pertaining to the performance of the project team members.
Ensure compliance with procurement and other governance processes during the project life cycle
