SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:
Our client operates in a project-based environment and is known for structured governance, strong project controls, and collaborative cross-functional teams. The business offers an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working closely with project managers, tracking costs, and ensuring accurate financial reporting across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor project budgets, ensuring alignment with approved budgets and project scope
Record and process sub-consultants’ invoices in the ERP system with accurate cost allocation
Prepare and maintain detailed and accurate project cost reports
Liaise with project managers and senior management to track and manage project costs
Ensure that all project-related expenses are supported, approved, and compliant with company policies
Perform regular project reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and completeness
Assist with project audits and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards
Support cost-benefit analysis and financial forecasts for current and future projects
Provide ad hoc financial reporting and respond to project-related financial queries

Job Experience & Skills:

Strong understanding of project accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting
Proficiency in ERP and accounting systems (Deltek, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar)
Strong Excel skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities effectively

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (essential)

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project accounting, financial analysis, or a related role (essential)
Exposure to project-based or contract-driven environments (advantageous)
Experience within the construction, engineering, real estate, or similar industries (preferred)
