SUMMARY:
Our client, in the automotive industry based in Kariega is looking to employ a Project Buyer to support new vehicle projects through effective planning, coordination, control and tracking

POSITION INFO:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Represent Purchasing and cross-functional project teams.
Track and manage critical and non-critical parts against project milestones.
Maintain Purchasing systems (
Raise and manage problem sheets, and programme points.
Coordinate commitment meetings and track agreed part timings.
Compile and present project status and launch reports.
Escalate risks impacting build milestones.
Interface with suppliers, engineering, logistics, production and quality

Minimum Qualifications:

Degree or Diploma in Purchasing, Logistics, Project Management, Mechanical Engineering, Commerce or Business Management.
Minimum 3 years’ Purchasing experience in the automotive industry.
Business management & project management skills
Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills
Ability to interpret technical data
Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures and legal requirements
Ability to analyses facts/situations and make decisions
Stakeholder and conflict management
High computer literacy (MS Office)
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
