Our client is a well-established engineering and manufacturing company based in Cape Town.

They are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to manage and commission engineering projects within a manufacturing environment. This role requires strong technical expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to deliver projects efficiently while maintaining quality and cost control.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Manage and fully commission engineering projects from planning to handover
Coordinate effectively between Engineering, Production, and Support teams
Ensure project objectives are achieved within agreed timelines
Work under pressure with minimal supervision in a cross-functional team
Monitor production figures and ensure accurate reporting
Apply quality, speed, and cost-effective production principles throughout project execution

Requirements:

Matric with Mathematics
BEng Mechanical Degree
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
Steel manufacturing experience beneficial
Strong technical understanding of mechanical machinery
Advanced mathematical and analytical skills
Fluent in English and Afrikaans
Own reliable transport
