Qualifications / Requirements:

• National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineering
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years project management experience including specifications, competitive tenders, project management and legal compliance in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to manage projects and interface with a diverse team from various departments
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Have strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project)
• Organizing, coordinating, planning as well as resourcefulness skills
• Ability to deal with complex tasks
• Good people skills and an ability to communicate effectively at all levels
• Proven analytical skills with an innovative approach to problem-solving
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated to achieve targets

Key Performance Areas:

• Planning, procuring and introducing (project management) new / upgrades to facilities incorporating
• Prepare investment studies and options for possible new facilities / product by developing specification for the installation of Systems / Facilities / Equipment and Buildings / Civils
• Prepare and present approval documentation for new facilities / product including technical evaluation of tenders
• Oversee project implementation by establishing sites, managing change points, coordinating stakeholders during construction, commissioning, budget and timing adherence
• Tracking actual expenditure versus budget, progress payments and final payment
• Update layouts for projects and submitting to HLS layout specialist
• Buy-off of new equipment with final acceptance schedule (end of commissioning)
• Ensure suppliers provide documentation for facility (operating manuals, maintenance manuals, drawings etc.)
• Asset tagging
