JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job & Company Description:

Concept and detailed design development and evaluation of structures and/or additional equipment
Research into the feasibility, design, operations, and performance of mechanical systems
Take responsibility for a broad range of major and minor engineering projects with tasks varying from initial project estimation and tender submission through to final contract negotiation and project design
Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems at mine sites within Africa and South Africa
Work directly with engineering staff, sales staff and customers to produce drawings and bills of material from sketches, existing drawings, electronic images, along with written and verbal descriptions
Supervise and inspect the installation, modification and commissioning of mechanical systems of equipment at mine sites throughout Africa and South Africa

Education:

Grade 12 (Matric)
BEng Mechanical Engineering

Job Experience & Skills Required:

3 – 5 years’ experience in Project Engineering in the mining industry
Experience in Industrial Equipment or Mining
Possess effective communication skills to interact with diverse groups of people
Must be willing to travel
