JOB SUMMARY:
Our leading client in the automotive sector based in Uitenhage/Kariega, seeks to employ a Project Engineer (Logistics Planning) to join their team!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties:

- Managing logistics projects from conception to successful implementation
- Initiating, developing and implementing World-Class material handling/logistics processes
- Analyzing/trouble-shooting existing material handling/logistics processes
- Planning and implementing improved warehouse and production layouts and facilities
- Designing and implementing racking, storage facilities, pallets and stillages in all shops and Warehouses.
- Developing, introducing and trouble-shooting packaging specifications for local/CKD sourced as well as export parts
- Critically analyzing processes with a view to reduce logistics costs
- Defining and compiling user specifications to be used for logistics IT Systems development
- Compiling and presenting project proposals
- Setting of own objectives based on the objectives set by the supervisor then controlling by means of KPIs
- Monitoring projects and maintaining all documentation relating to these projects
- Monitoring and auditing the operational logistics processes to ensure all the correct standards are maintained Requirements:

- National Diploma/Degree (Industrial Engineering/Mechanical Engineering)
- Have a minimum of 3 - 5 years relevant work experience
- Have 2 years Project Management experience
- CAD system experience
- Computer proficient (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
