Project Manager

Job Specification – Project Manager (must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills)

The Project Managers role is to manage the company’s relationships with clients, suppliers and beneficiaries whilst delivering impactful and successful projects in the Youth space. We are looking for a highly passionate individual who loves working with children’s and  in  an educational space. Must be able to work independently with a can-do attitude.

Requirements

To manage the finance processes and project budgets

• Budget management
• Finance documents printing and filing
• Client invoicing as per agreed billing schedule
• Manage all finance related processes

Client Service and reporting

• Establishing and building great long-term relationships with existing clients working to accomplish their goals while meeting company objectives
• Acquire organic growth and new business sales
• Creation and delivery of client status reports based on current progress of projects and press coverage received
• Set-up, prepare for and attend client status meetings
• Target management of reach achieved
• Attending to client adhoc requirements timeously
• Completing client final feedback reports at end of project

Project management and events

• Event management
  • Including but not limited to the organizing of venue, sound, lighting, entertainment, speakers, RSVP management, catering, photography, décor, branding, event set-up and management
• Project management
  • Supplier negotiations and management
  • Quality control with regards to suppliers, beneficiaries and projects delivery
  • Content development and layout review
  • Management of internal team
  • Contribution to brainstorm
  • Storage and courier management

Press

• Establishing and building relationships with press
• Creation of press release and media packs
• Find opportunities for trade exchanges
• Complete opinion pieces
• Management of the press at events
• Monitoring of press coverage value
• Arrange and prepare executives for media interviews

Skills

• MUST be able to write well – Good grasp of English language
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Able to multi-task (managing multiple projects at the same time), achieve deadlines, perform to a high standard, and have good time management skills

Additional requirements

• Own transport – non-negotiable
• Proven work experience as an Account Manager / Project Manager or similar
• Media experience is highly advantageous
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Required to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment
• Weekend work when required
