Project Manager

A technology-led, data-driven provider of services & capital solutions has an exciting career opportunity for a Project Manager to join their team in Johannesburg. You will map requirements, plan solutions, confer with experts, and successfully execute strategies to rollout projects from client implementations, site builds, and strategic company initiatives. If you have 3-5 years’ experience in project management and relevant BPO experience, this job could be perfect for you!

Your key job responsibilities as the Project Manager in Johannesburg will include:

• Develop project plans utilizing standardized documentation templates such as WBS, formal agendas, and action item trackers, managing the documentation and completion throughout the project lifecycle for the international customers (EMEA/US)
• Validate the workflows and processes of incoming opportunities
• Collaborate with internal and external partners on process and operational improvements throughout the project cycle, troubleshooting when discrepancies arise
• Conduct project closure processes and contribute to organization-wide procedure improvements using lessons learned
• Establish standards, tools, templates, charters, trackers, dashboards and procedures for use on specific projects encompassing issue, risk, change and information management and ensure these are used correctly
• Establish and manage project controls, e.g., Risk and Issue logs, attendance registers, sign-off matrices, etc.
• Review project activities for compliance with procedures and standards and escalate anomalies to relevant people
• Ensure that all relevant project documentation requirements are met
• Ensure compliance with the company project management methodology and ensure that document version control is maintained
• Ensure project change requests are recorded and that the correct change governance process and sign-off procedures are followed.

Requirements for this Project Manager job in Johannesburg:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business project management experience
• 3-5 years of experience in project management
• Relevant BPO experience
• Experience in EU/EMEA/US market
• 2+ years in operations and/or account management, working directly with clients
• International vendor management experience
• Experience building new sites or launching new geos
• PMP, Agile, and/or Lean Six Sigma experience and/or certifications
• Advanced knowledge of email ticketing and cloud-based systems (i.e., 8×8, Aircall, Five9, Salesforce, Zendesk; Asana)
