A growing and well-established organisation is looking to appoint a Property Accountant to strengthen their finance team in Pretoria East.
This role is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys working with high transaction volumes, reconciliations, and reporting, while partnering closely with operational teams.
While exposure to property finance will be advantageous, the company is also open to candidates from retail or manufacturing environments who have strong financial fundamentals and a hands-on approach to finance operations.

In this role, you will support the finance function by ensuring the integrity of financial information related to tenant accounts, reconciliations, and operational finance processes. Working closely with senior finance leadership, you will play a key role in maintaining smooth billing cycles, resolving financial queries, and supporting month-end processes.
This opportunity provides exposure to a structured finance environment where attention to detail, analytical thinking, and strong financial acumen are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and monitor tenant account transactions and collections
Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Support monthly financial processes and reporting cycles
Resolve financial queries and account discrepancies
Assist with financial data integrity and system updates
Support the finance team with audit preparation and year-end processes
Contribute to maintaining accurate financial records and compliance

Job Experience and Skills Required

Education:
Relevant financial qualification advantageous.
Experience:

Exposure to financial accounting or operational finance environments
Experience working with reconciliations, debtors, or transactional finance processes
Property finance exposure beneficial but not essential

Candidates with experience in property, retail, manufacturing, or similar commercial environments will be considered.
Skills:

Strong MS Excel proficiency
Exposure to property management systems such as MDA or MRI advantageous
Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Professional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
